As much as I hate to just rehash Slashdos, thats exactly what I am going to do today. Plus, this is something I heard about a month ago, and forgot, so I can get by with rationlizing that I am not being like ever other blogger out there.

Wired News: No Porn for You, Video IPod!, in short, porn peddlers are not at all getting on the iPod video bandwagon. To this I say, good, smart move. It makes no business sense, who in the hell wants to rub one off to the tune of a two inch screen. Personally, I like to kick back to no less than twenty three inches, and how in the hell am I supposed to amuse myself and go switchstance with one hand tethered to the pornPod.

It was a very last minute thing, but I just got back from Weezer and Foo Fighters. I had a slight desire to see these guys, not so much cause I was a huge fan, but because reports were calling it “Foozer”. This of course, implying that there was much duo performing going on.

To be honest, I never really got into either of these bands with as much passion as I have for others. Foo fighters get immediate respect just for the Nirvana factor, Weezer for for being rockstars second to education. I was quite surprised at how good Weezer sounded. I do not really know their stuff all that well, but to me, it sounded like they played a good mix of old and new. To be honest, it sounded damn near studio quality.

It’s Report-an-Apple-Bug Friday, and I have a very simple one. Quicktime player, for as long as I can remember, does not remember the state of the volume control. Every launch you are rudely shocked at 100% volume. Worse, is it is not remembering state between windows, not just application launches.

God damn it, ever have one of those days, where you feel like a moron, cause you were doing something the hard way, cause it made sense? In WordPress, you need not wrap your paragraphs in the html “<p>” tags, it manages to find the “\r” or “\r\n” and do just fine.

With all the damn bugs in how Apple deals with editing large text, it was a constant nightmare to markup my posts. I never needed to.

Here’s to stupidity, apparently I am king of it for the past many months.

A bit ago, I posted And the answer is… Greed!, while I still stand behind it, a friend brought up an interesting point. What threw me off was that my friend is a liberal. I figured he would be default by against the big republican driven record company machine.

However, he couldn’t care less. His thinking, if $0.99 is the floor, thats fine, it puts all the popular stuff above the bar. In the end, who fucking cares, cause if you want to download Brittany Spears, you deserve to pay $5.99 for one song.

I think it is stubborn and illogical, but hey, it’s totally valid. Only popular music would be on the rise, who really gives a crap about the mainstream garbage anyway. If you listen to shit, you should be punished!

This is going to be short, but it’s on my mind, and I can not get into work mode today for the life of me. I know it is cliché but I fucking hate Monday’s.

Last week, Apple put out a iPod that can do video, w00t! Not impressed, but hey, it is another feature and more features are not always a bad thing. It was done in a clean way, people have been hammering out articles on why they have not added video to the iPod for years, so it was only a matter of time.

The bitch I have with this is that it is setting a new precedent. Right now, I can watch any show on television I want, for free. Why would I want to pay $1.99 to download what I can currently get for free?

Bill Maher Season 6 Episode 2

I took a God Damn nap until 11:30 PM, so I am screwed, which means I get to catch up on my Bill Maher ranting. As a said before, these are done really quick, so they are going to be riddled with mistakes. It’s actually quite a bit of work to keep up with the show and type about it while still listening to what’s going on in real time. Maybe it’s good exercise for the brain, who knows, either way, sleeping is just not in the cards, so you get this instead.

Another joke about “flip flopping” and the French in the intro footage, getting old, move on. Actually, hmmm, wait, they made fun of the French, I guess I can let it slide.
