An hour later, and I am no better off than I started. I just want to be able to find .torrent files, drop them in a directory, and have them downloaded and seeded. Too much to ask? Apparently so.
First, I tried to do run the source, as doing this from the CLI is actually preferable to me. So, off to the Index of /dl I go, and get the tarball.
OS X 10.3 to 10.4 http://www.bittorrent.com/dl/BitTorrent-4.4.0.tar.gz tar -xvf BitTorrent-4.4.0.tar tar: Error exit delayed from previous errors
Ok, fine, I will just enable the feature in Azureus. Apprently not:
[23:52:19] Alert:3:’Save to default data dir’ [Use default data dir] needs to be enabled for auto-.torrent-import to work
Oh well, cest la vie.

You could try using folder actions, along with Tomato Torrent. It comes with a “Download torrent to here” applescript. I haven’t tried it myself, but it might work.
