Yes, I have a girlfriend who buys too many damn concert tickets. Well, the Liz Pahir thing was my idea, and something I planned on months ago, Social Distortion was hers. It’s surprising, as she knows less of them than I, and I do not really know crap about them, other than they are old.
I was a huge fan of their first release. As a matter of fact, I can say, about fifteen years ago, it was one of the first two CD’s I ever bought. Prison Bound pretty much sold me on them at that age.
Some quick comments:
- Mike, your pants are pulled up too high, you look like an old man, ooops, you are.
- They sounded really good, exceptionally good to be honest.
- The first two bands totally sucked, with the second being the worst, just cause they were from Liverpool.
- The double encore was cool, seeing as how half the people already left.
- Keep your God damn politics out of my punk rock.
- For all the good of the show, by not playing anything from your first release, you have effectively sold out and are playing to the LIVE 105 masses.

hey if you dont like the politics of the bands you claim to like, then dont go to see them change the fucking channel and go listen to some god loving country music. the hypocrisy of saying you like bands then complaining about what they have to say is like buying a snake and then getting mad at it when it bites you. Punk bands, especially older ones like green day, who come from fucking berkeley for crying out loud, are not going to have your views. SO why don’t you just not go to them and start listening to Good Charlotte or Britney spears. MAybe their complete ignorance of the world that surrounds them, and indifference to how the world it would be more up your alley. Oh and thanks again for inviting me.
Comment by kelbruce willis 11.13.05 @ 3:16 pmI Attended the social d show monday nite the 14th and it was by far the best. Don’t run your mouth about a band as well as a man who has overcome some of the hardest things in life. Speaking from experience, a heroin addiction is the hardest thing to get past. The man has been an inspiration to myself and many others. Give credit where credit is due
